Stephanie & Chris’ South Shore Wedding
A lot of people ask me where we get most of our business. “Referrals” is always my response. Back in 2012, George and I photographed Dana and Dave’s wedding at The Villa in East Bridgewater. One of the groomsmen was Dave’s friend Chris. Chris referred us to his sister Allie who married Pat this past year at the Atlantica in Cohasset. Fast forward to this month when were privileged to photograph Stephanie and Chris’ wedding at The Pavilion at Pinehills in Plymouth, MA. As soon as Chris’ dad saw George, he said, “I only have one more kid and then we’re done with you guys.” We appreciate it Al!
Stephanie is originally from Vermont. Chris is from Randolph, MA. They met through the softball league at work. Stephanie was the only lady on the team and Chris teased her relentlessly. In return, she regularly tried to take his head off with the ball when she played second and he played first. “It never worked” Chris told me. They had their first off-field date at some local batting cages and then played pool. Apparently the teasing worked because when Chris popped the question to Stephanie in August 2013, she said yes. That or Stephanie was afraid Chris would throw her off the jetty if she said no.
We met up with Stephanie and Chris in Plymouth on their wedding day. Their first look was at a private home on the Plymouth waterfront followed by wedding party formals at the well-known Brewster Gardens. After that, we headed to the Pine Hills for their ceremony and reception. We made a quick stop at the town green for a few photos by the ice cream shop and then finished up the wedding party formals at the golf club.
Guests arriving at Pine Hills were greeted by bagpipe music and warm sunshine. Considering the weather of late, Stephanie and Chris couldn’t have had better weather for their wedding day. We also had awesome back light for the family photos following the ceremony. One of my favorite parts of the day was the 15 minutes or so during the cocktail hour when I was able to sneak away with Stephanie and Chris and take some photos on the golf course.
As expected, there was much merriment the rest of the evening. DJ John Cristoferi kept the party going the entire night. The outdoor patio provided guests with a great spot to cool down during the evening.
Stephanie & Chris – thanks so much for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day! Here’s to many more BBQ meals together!!
