It is hard to explain how difficult a task it is to select a handful of images to represent a year’s worth of work. In 2011, I shot 32 engagement sessions. This blog includes 24 images in total. That’s about 2/3s of an image per session. Wow. The challenge I have when selecting photos in this scenario is that each image is personal to me and represents a memory with the people I photographed. It’s hard to not love them and and want to post 3,200+ photos for you all to see, but geeze, this isn’t pinterest.
To all my engagement clients, much love to you all!! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend a couple of hours with you exploring. The memories won’t soon be forgotten. Memories like laughing until I almost died in Harvard Yard, fighting off legions of mosquitoes on a beautiful beach, hanging out in Fenway Park, snowball fights, geocaching, photographing you in the place you first met, listing to you sing while he played, rushing to make it to the Lincoln Memorial for twilight, mid-air collisions between the betrothed, her wearing your fake moustache, your fear of trespassing, how perfectly still the water was for THE shot, and so many more. The photos are my memories captured. I’m so fortunate for that.
Here are 24 images I feel best represent the variety of images shot during the 2011 engagement season. I hope you enjoy them. If you see yourself, feel free to shout it from the rooftops. People will think you’re cool. 😉
