So we have neighbors that live two houses down from us – Nikki, John, their daughter Izzy, and soon-to-be son (he who is yet to be named).  A couple of years back, John’s mom Joan wanted to have some family portraits taken.  Nikki and John recommended us.

I shot their family portrait session at a local park. John’s sister Elizabeth, her husband Brian and daughter Emma (a newborn at the time) also joined us for the first session.  Little did I know how often I would be seeing this family

Since then, I’ve done another family portrait session with Nikki, John and Izzy and another session with Elizabeth, Brian and Emma.  In addition, I did a newborn shoot with Elizabeth and Brian after they had second child, Brian, this past winter.  Shortly after, I received a call from Brian’s sister Kaitlyn who booked a family portrait session with her husband and their son.  And just for fun, I did photos for Nikki and John to help announce both that they were pregnant a second time, and to reveal the gender of the new little one.

This family is the epitome of the type of family portrait clients we love!  If you’ve kept track, that’s five portrait sessions already and one more scheduled within the next month.  And they have all been wonderful about passing along our information to their coworkers and other friends as well.

What I appreciate most about this family is how much they value [portraiture] photography and the importance of capturing the many stages of life as families grow and change.  They realize their kids will only be kids once and they change SO quickly.  We love having the opportunity to document a family as it grows and changes.  Don’t miss out on capturing your family’s story.
