Jeff Turner Photography is taking on a new identity. No, we haven’t been bought out for billions of dollars by Amazon.com or anything like that. When I started my company several years ago, I really didn’t want to name it after me, but I had absolutely no idea what else to call it. Since then, I’ve recruited a great team to help build the company and feel that the current name does not reflect our team approach to providing our customers with the best services and products.

After months (literally) of thinking and internet searches to find a "studio" or "photography" name that wasn’t in use and would better represent us, we found one that we love. Our new name is Black Thumb Studio. Feel free to "Ooohhh" and "Aaaahhhh" at this point. It’s okay.

I’m sure your first question is "Where the heck did they get that name?" And it’s a great question! It turns out that George, Alana, and I work so hard at weddings that our cameras literally rub off on our thumbs and turn them black. I’m not kidding. We felt the name Black Thumb Studio, along with the story behind it, would be a strong indication of how passionate we are about photography.

We’ve decided at this point to not completely redo the website because we want you to have some continuity and familiarity with the new site. "Baby steps" as the saying goes. Other than our name and website, everything else is the same. George, Alana and I are all still here. We still work out of my home. We’re still as crazy and as passionate about photography as we always have been. And we’re still here for all of your photography needs!
