Kat and I showed up to the family’s home on Monday afternoon. The sky was high overcast – perfect lighting for shooting on the beach! Ryan, had just finished his lunch and was about to get dressed. Kerri appeared wearing a beautiful white casual dress that was made for beach photography. Kerri got Ryan into his white pants and blue dress shirt. He looked adorable. I mentioned to him that I had a daughter just a few months older than him. He didn’t say much in response.

We headed off to two different beaches for photos. The first was a real rocky beach and the second, sandy. This provided us with two different backdrops for our session. It’s always a challenge to get young kids to enjoy having their photo taken. What seemed to work the best was Kerri playing peek-a-boo with him. As soon as she would uncover Ryan’s eyes, he would laugh. Thank goodness for a mother’s touch!
