Mariya and Geronimo (a.k.a. Masha and G respectively) met via a mutual friend. They were both attending Bentley University at the time and became good friends while they were in school.  It wasn’t until after they graduated that they started dating.

I met up with Masha and G a couple of weeks ago at their alma mater for their engagement session. Bentley’s campus is absolutely beautiful and has so many different places to shoot. I love it!

With a session later in the day, we were able to take advantage of the golden sunlight and also have some fun with it. I asked them if they had any specific requests. Masha immediately responded "We love the big person/little person pictures!" I knew exactly what she meant.

We wandered the campus talking, laughing and shooting the whole way. Masha and G brought along a small tent as a prop. A big camper myself, I loved the idea and think that camping can be pretty romantic for a couple. Granted most of my camping is done with a bunch of guys, which means it is anything but romantic. Smelly is more appropriate. But I digress…

While I packed up the tent, Masha and G did a wardrobe change. We immediately found a great brick wall with the sun in the perfect spot for some shadow photos. The shadow of a lamppost was the perfect addition.

We walked the campus a bit more, got the big person/little person shot, and snapped a few photos with a real lamppost. It was a beautiful evening, a beautiful place with a beautiful couple. Doesn’t get much better than that!
