Erika & Dan’s Engagement Session
I met Erika and Dan at the churchwhere they will have their wedding later this fall. We were doing a combined pre-wedding consultation and engagement session on the campus of WPI. This is where they met. It was also their home for four years, so it was a joy to walk around the campus with them and hear their stories.
The highlight of the campus tour was a visit to a classic Tudor mansion that was the home of a former college president. It is now used for functions including weddings. What’s wonderful about it are that the grounds surrounding it are amazing. As Erika led the way through the entrance of one of the gardens she warned, "Now just so you know Jeff, this is like a photographer’s playground." She was SO right. I walked in and was instantly overwhelmed by the possibilities. I took full advantage of the beautiful gardens, stonework and wonderful architecture of the building. Definitely my kind of place.
Our last stop on campus was a visit to the science building where both Erika and Dan spent many hours in the lab as well as "T.A.-ing" for various classes. We spent some time in one of the classrooms and had a friendly little game of tic-tac-toe on the chalkboard.
Erika and Dan – I can’t wait to celebrate your wedding day with you this fall. Good luck with the rest of your planning!
