Amy and Matt are two of the hardest working people I know.Being in the service industry demands a significant commitment of time and energy. Knowing that they had such a wonderful wedding planned, I was really looking forward to seeing them let loose and relax on their wedding day. And they did.
Amy and Matt were starting and ending their day at the Hilton Boston Back Bay. I introduced George to Matt and then we went to Amy’s room. After shooting some detail pictures, George rejoined the guys and snuck around the corner for some great formals in a graffiti-covered alley. I stayed with Amy and her entourage.
The Rolls-Royce and limousines soon arrived at the door. Matt left first. Amy and her dad followed soon after in the Rolls. The ceremony was held at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Newton, MA. This is where Amy’s dad went to church for many years. This cathedral is one of the most beautiful of its kind in the Boston area. The architectural details are incredible and the music of the Copley Chamber Players seemed to float into every inch of this beautiful sanctuary.
Following the ceremony, we ventured to the Christian Science Plaza for formals. The wide open area and backdrop of the Prudential and other buildings provided for wonderful scenic pictures. The addition of the rows of trees on one side provided a perfect location for the more intimate pictures with just Amy and Matt. An easy walk back to the Hilton made this the perfect spot for their formals.
The reception at the Hilton was hosted by The Knights. The band emceed and played great dance music all night long. Rachel, of RCH Designs, was Amy and Matt’s wedding coordinator. Not only did she take care of the day of coordination, but also took care of the flowers, centerpieces, a wonderful photo-collage table and many other details that made the room look so elegant. In addition, Matt had carved two of the three ice sculptures himself. He’s a man of many talents!
Amy and Matt – I wish you many happy years together and am honored to have been a part of the first day of the rest of your lives. Congratulations again!
