Katy & Tommy’s Engagement Session
I met up with Katy and Tommy at a parking lotacross the street from Brewster Gardens in Plymouth, MA. Katy started giggling almost immediately. You could tell she was excited.
We started about half way up the park on the smaller foot bridge. It’s my favorite spot. Katy was laughing in no time. It seemed that all Tommy had to do to make her laugh was look at her. I loved it. It’s always great when I get to capture that natural emotion rather than a forced smile.
We continued our walk through the park stopping here and there to take pictures. We walked all the way up to the pond. They danced. I shot. Katy laughed.
On our way back down through the park, I stopped to take pictures of the engagement ring. A Black-eyed Susan provided the perfect pop of color. We took a few more photos in the main part of the park before heading over to Plymouth Beach. The weather was cooperating and the sky was starting to clear. Yeah!
At the beach, I asked Katy and Tommy to walk along the water’s edge for some candids. The light was perfect and Katy and Tommy were so easy to work with. They just walked and laughed. My favorite series is of the wave coming in and Katy getting unexpectedly overtaken. That’s just one of those things you can’t pose.
We finished the session with a few silhouettes (of course) and a few more posed shots. Weather-wise, the evening couldn’t have been more perfect.
Katy and Tommy – I’m looking forward to celebrating your wedding with you next year. And Katy, don’t ever stop laughing!!
Love it!
